The 2012 CAN Cycle Friendly Awards Nominations are open.
A Cycle Friendly Award brings national recognition and coverage for your Organisation’s project or person doing great things that encourage more cycling.
“An Award is a real morale booster generating civic pride to help justify more resources for cycling projects,” says Dirk De Lu (Awards Co-ordinator). The five Award categories are:
MWH Best Cycle Facility Project
NZTA Best Cycling Promotion Project
Dunedin City Council Cycle Friendly Commitment by a Business
iWay Cycling Champion of the Year.
Auckland Transport Cycle Friendly Commitment by a Public Organisation Nominations are for projects completed between 1 June 2010 to 30 June 2011, and must be in by 2 December. Fill in the easy nomination form by 31 October 2011 and be in the draw to win an Early bird prize of one of two Cactus Witness shoulder bag. The Awards Ceremony is in Hastings 23 February 2012 as part of the 2 Walk and Cycle National Active Transport Conference.
