Tragic fatality in Nelson

Tragically yesterday a Fulton Hogan employee was fatally injured whilst working on the Nelson City Council Maitai Pipeline duplication project.

Details surrounding this event remain unclear at this time. We will be actively and cooperatively working with all investigating authorities to fully understand what the events were that took place on the site that led to this tragedy.

Our key focus at this time is around providing complete support to the family and workmates of the deceased. Our thoughts and prayers are with them at this indescribably difficult time.

Fulton Hogan prides itself on its strong safety culture and as such our entire business is devastated by this very sad event.

No further comments will be available until the authorities release the name of the deceased.
