Serious crash closes SH16 near Helensville
The NZ Transport Agency says a section of State Highway 16 near Helensville has been closed by a fatal crash.
The crash involves two vehicles and occurred near the intersection of SH16 and James Mackie Road south of Helensville.
The NZTA’s Regional Traffic Operations Manager, Kathryn Musgrave, says it is anticipated that SH16 will be closed for some time. Diversions are in place between Helensville and Kiwitahi Road.
“We are asking people who use SH16 to Helensville and beyond to drive with care, particularly along Kiwitahi Road, and to observe speed restrictions.”
