Indecent Assault in Wellington City
Police are investigating an indecent assault on a
vulnerable young woman walking ahead of a group of friends
that occurred at approximately 12.20am Saturday morning on
King Street, Mount Cook, Wellington.
The offender has
been described as Male Maori, 20-25 years old of medium
height and solid build. He was wearing a grey hooded
sweatshirt, possibly with a zip and dark coloured pants.
Police are seeking any persons in the area between 12 and
1am that may have witnessed the incident or suspicious
activity at that time and ask that any person with any
information that may assist the investigation contact the
Wellington Central Police Station on (04) 381 2000 or phone
Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
