Man Flown from Hut on the Mohaka river
The Taupo Based Greenlea Rescue helicopter
was dispatched last night to the Waiokaka hut in the Mohaka
River.
A broken message had been received via mountain
radio of an injury involving broken bones from a party
staying at the hut.
With the use of Night Vision
equipment the Greenlea Rescue Helicopter landed at the hut
just after midnight.
A young man, who was initially in a lot of pain, with a suspected fracture to his arm was flown back to Taupo Hospital.
