Samuel Gibson passes away
Family man and
adventurer Samuel Peter Gibson, 39, passed away in Hawke’s
Bay Fallen Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital this morning
surrounded by family.
Samuel, who was born with a rare brittle bone disease, was admitted to hospital following a fall from his wheelchair when competing in the half-marathon event of the Air New Zealand Hawke’s Bay International Marathon festival on Saturday.
He is survived by his wife Jen and two children.
The Gibson family will make a statement via Facebook later today. They will make no other comment, and ask that their privacy be respected.
