Progressive election results for Horizons announced

Progressive election results for Horizons Regional Council announced

Local body voting for Horizons’ Palmerston North constituency closed at 12 noon today and progress results are now available on Horizons Regional Council’s website,www.horizons.govt.nz.

Horizons electoral officer Craig Grant says that while these results are not final, they provide a snapshot of results so far.

“These results are of votes received by 5pm last night. It is possible the final outcome may differ from these initial results,” says Mr Grant.

“Preliminary results will be available by Monday morning.

“Progressive results will continue to be posted on the Elections page of our website until the special votes have been counted and a final declaration of results are posted around 26 September.

“The Palmerston North by-election has been held due to the passing of the late Cr Pat Kelly over Queen’s Birthday Weekend earlier this year.

“The successful candidate will be sworn into Council on 9 October 2018.”
