One Person In Custody Following Henderson Firearms Incident

Police have one person in custody following
a firearms incident in Henderson
this
evening.
Police were alerted to reports of a firearm
being discharged at an address on
Newington Road shortly
before 9pm.
On arrival, a woman was located with
critical injuries. Immediate first aid
was provided
however she sadly died at the scene.
There will be a Police presence in the area overnight.
While we are in
the early stages of our enquiries we want to reassure
the
community we do not believe there to be an ongoing
risk to the public.
