Police presence continues in Tairāwhiti following homicide
Police continue to have a significant visible presence
in Tairāwhiti, and further up the East Coast, following the
recent homicide of 25-year-old Chephar
Hollis-Brown.
Police have been conducting community reassurance patrols as a result of the shooting, as well as undertaking investigation enquiries in the area.
“The investigation into her death is ongoing with the investigation team working through a number of lines of enquiry,” says Detective Inspector David de Lange.
"Police are still keen to hear from anyone who can provide information to assist the investigation team regarding this senseless shooting.
"We are committed to holding those responsible to account and the public can expect us to remain highly visible in the area."
