Masterton District Council Appoints Tyler Ross As Group Manager Infrastructure

Following a rigorous recruitment process, Tyler Ross will join Masterton District Council’s Executive Leadership Team from 13 April as Group Manager Infrastructure, returning to the district from Wellington.
Chief Executive Kym Fell is delighted to welcome him back.
“Tyler began his career with Masterton District Council as a Resource Consent Planner around 20 years ago, so it’s especially pleasing to welcome him back to the region. Since his time with us, he has developed an impressive depth of experience and expertise that will add real strength to our organisation.
“He will be a valuable addition to the team, and I look forward to seeing him thrive in this role,” Mr Fell said.
Mr Ross brings more than 20 years of strategic transport planning and infrastructure leadership experience across local and central government in New Zealand and Australia. His career reflects a strong focus on delivering regionally significant infrastructure projects, aligning investment with growth, and leading high-performing teams.
He holds a Master of Engineering from the University of Canterbury and is a Chartered Professional Engineer.
“Welcoming someone of Tyler’s talent and experience back to our community is a real asset. I look forward to working alongside him as we continue to support Masterton’s growth and development,” Mr Fell said.
Outside of his professional roles, Mr Ross is highly regarded for his community contribution, including nearly a decade as a volunteer coach with Wellington Special Olympics Swimming, and receiving the Kawenata Aroha award in 2022 for his community service.
