Artworks from one of the most significant collections of contemporary art in Australasia - the Chartwell Collection. Colin McCahon, Bill Hammond, and Rosalie Gascoigne feature alongside leading Maori and Aboriginal artists.

Eight muralists continue to paint a collaborative tribute to Marz Cummings who died, aged 34, in a motorbike accident in October 1999. His work can be seen in Te Aro Park (Pigeon Park), the Wellington Ports, and the Aro Community Centre.
