Local Television Broadcasters Host International Speakers At Auckland Conference
Free to air television companies
are holding a major international television conference in
Auckland on Thursday 11 October canvassing the latest ideas
in television advertising.
Leading speakers are expected from the USA, UK and Europe. As invitations are accepted from speakers, the conference organisers will release their names, said Bruce Wallace, executive director of the New Zealand Television Broadcasters Council.
Mr Wallace said that the television networks were determined to invest in bringing to New Zealand the latest ideas from round the world at a time of increasing change and fragmentation of television.
“This conference will provide advertisers, advertising agencies and broadcasters with the chance to hear some of the best thinking from round the world about advertising on television.”
The NZTBC is made up of Television New Zealand, CanWest NZ, Prime Television NZ and West Media’s regional stations.
