Lucire's fifth anniversary issue features NZ Shoot

Lucire launches fifth anniversary issue with exclusive New Zealand shoot

Auckland, Lucire, Official Internet Partner and support sponsor of L’Oréal New Zealand Fashion Week, showcases New Zealand fashion in an exclusive shoot by Briar Shaw this week.

Celebrating its fifth anniversary on October 21, Lucire begins its party early with the shoot, which features winter 2003 fashions from all over the country: Mild Red (Dunedin), Billy Zamoisky (Wellington) and RJC by Robin Jones (Auckland).

Shot at Kaiaua by fashion photographer Briar Shaw, with models Rachel Field and Jenna Lee of Nova Models and make-up by Anya Renzenbrink, the feature commemorates L’Oréal New Zealand Fashion Week, previewing the clothes that will reach stores next year. Make-up was supplied exclusively by L’Oréal Paris.

The five-page spread is now accessible as the cover story at www.lucire.com.

Lucire will be seen by over 70,000 people this week—and up to one million each year. As with L’Oréal New Zealand Fashion Week guests Rebecca Weinberg and Brian S. Long, the magazine brings international eyeballs to Kiwi fashion.

Born in Pukekohe and based in Auckland, Briar Shaw is an alumna of Massey University's School of Design and the National College of Design & Technology, now Natcoll.

Ms Shaw has always been interested in taking photographs. However, it wasn't until she was working in a design museum in Switzerland that she decided to make it her career. She spent more time in Switzerland this year before returning to New Zealand in mid-2002.
