Of Desert Nights and Exotic Dreams… - SAGA
The Oasis Collection from SAGA

“SAGA would like to invite you to enter a world of heat and dreams…”
This was the instruction and this is indeed what the fashion public did as it took in the beautiful new collection from Lewis Design’s SAGA label.
The truly magical Oasis Collection was inspired by the deserts of Northern Africa; it’s prints and embroideries reflecting their Moroccan heritage and timeless beauty. Colours were derived directly from nature and mirrored the hues of drifting sands and the endless starlit skies of this mysterious and ageless continent. Silhouettes were slimmer and more sophisticated than previous seasons, with the exception being slouchy utility pants and parkas that added a casual touch to this otherwise streamlined collection.
As you would expect from SAGA and younger sister label SOULO, each garment had the inherent trademark of quality craftsmanship with attention to the finest detail.

With the show, SAGA furthered its reputation for creating contemporary designs using modern and luxury fabrics. Available in over a hundred stores throughout Australia and New Zealand, the ready-to-wear SAGA brand targets modern professional women who enjoy life, are body-conscious and like to have a sensuous, unique item in the wardrobe. Owner/designer Angela Hood and her team also produce SOULO, aimed at the younger market who like to look minimalist but fashion-forward. It is a directional collection based on the fundamental of definitive lines with an edgy finish.
The show was an unequivocal success, resulting in even more interest in these design-driven yet highly wearable labels from both critics and buyers.
