Racing Postponed For The Third Consecutive Time
AUCKLAND, NEW ZEALAND
OCTOBER 27, 2002
RACING POSTPONED FOR THE THIRD CONSECUTIVE TIME DUE TO HEAVY WINDS
Third postponement in a row, today, for all racing on the Hauraki Gulf due to the adverse weather conditions.
The Race Committee announced the delay this morning on shore, in order to avoid a long wait for the teams at sea.
Another frontal system will move across the Auckland area tonight. A moderate westerly becomes a strong northwesterly wind throughout the day as the front nears. The forecast for tomorrow is for WSW wind, 20-35 knots, mostly cloudy with morning showers.
