Bridgecorp Flies Cup Banner

Bridgecorp Holdings has put up a $8000 incentive for America’s Cup fans nationwide to flaunt their best supporting banners on cup racing days.

Bridgecorp, a leading specialist property financier, says its support for the Cup recognises that it has been a huge economic driver for the local economy and has also injected a positive spirit into the business community.

“We are keen to introduce a bit of good natured Kiwi humour into the finals series” says Managing Director, Rod Petricevic.

"We have made our banner competition a nationwide contest, so all Kiwis can get involved. "We are expecting to see banners on boats, buildings and country school fences throughout New Zealand. It’s a fun and active way for Kiwis to show their support.

"The cup is a modern day event with all the drama of a Roman Coliseum. Banner competitions are a regular and fun part of one-day cricket so we are expecting Kiwis to get thinking and get creative in support of their team."

The prizes include $500 for the banner judged as the best on each race day with the pool of winners being judged for best overall banner of the series for a prize of $2,500. There will also be a special one-off prize for schools of $1,000.

Banners must be registered by email or fax with Bridgecorp by 10am on each race day and include the Bridgecorp bridge brand icon or name to qualify. Entrants must also include full contact details, agree to participate in subsequent publicity and accept the judges’ decision as final. Race day winners will be announced and contacted at the conclusion of each day’s racing.
