Topp Twins in two special Winter Bonanza concerts
The Glasgow Herald once described them as “New Zealand’s finest export since lamb cutlets.” The Age of Melbourne advised readers to “break down doors to see them” and London’s Financial Times said: “Their purity in music-making and their absurdity in words and actions is what makes (them) unique"
They are New Zealand’s Topp Twins who have gained the reputation of delivering a total entertainment experience unlike any act.
The twins, Lynda and Jools Topp have won many New Zealand television and music awards for their distinctive brand of entertainment that has endeared them to crowds around the world.
And Wednesday next week the dynamic duo will appear in the Christchurch Town hall in two special free concerts for Christchurch Casino’s Players Club members that have been organised as part of the Casino’s Winter Bonanza Promotion.
Christchurch Casino CEO Arthur Pitcher says all the available tickets were taken up in no time at all. “People were standing patiently in long queues to get hold of the almost 5000 tickets we initially printed.” He says the casino had to make more tickets available to satisfy some very disappointed casino patrons.
The concerts will
be held in the Christchurch Town hall next Wednesday
(25/6/2003) at 2pm and again at
7.30pm.
