Big Mountain Women’s Weekend At Broken River

The free ski revolution is not gender specific. An increasing number of women are ripping it up with the best of them. New Zealand has produced its share of champions, too, with World Extreme competitors Sarah Newman and Bridget Mead flying the Kiwi flag around the world.

This weekend, women with a passion for skiing and snowboarding will get a chance to learn and turn together at the Chill Sessions Big Mountain Women’s Weekend at Broken River.

AMADA BLUE LTD, ONBOARD AND CHILL have sponsored the event, which aims to give women increased awareness and skills for recreational or competitive Big Mountain in a friendly supportive learning environment.

The passionate and highly skilled crew of instructors will be joined by professional coaches and even a few guest stars! Broken River Ski Area has kindly provided the big mountain and even the weather seems eager to comply with another snow storm expected on Saturday.

The weekend’s workshops will include mountain safety and competition training as well as a lesson on the basics of riding a nutcracker tow.

The cost of the weekend includes accommodation on the mountain, all food, spot prizes, demo skis and boards, avalanche transceivers and transport (if required).
