Milo Again Into Bat For Kiwi Kids

Milo Again Into Bat For Kiwi Kids

Five New Zealanders will once again have the opportunity of a lifetime to be a Black Cap for the day with the continuation of MILO's 12th Man cricket competition.

A unique concept when it started nine years ago, the MILO 12th Man competition gives the winners extraordinary access to the Black Caps during the one-day internationals against South Africa in February next year.

New Zealand Cricket CEO Martin Snedden says the promotion is ‘fast becoming an institution’ and is warmly welcomed by the Black Caps.

“This is as close as you get to being a Black Cap without actually playing,” Mr Snedden said. “Accompanying Stephen Fleming for the pre-game coin toss and hanging out with the team in the players’ enclosure and dressing room is the experience of a lifetime.”

The competition is open to all New Zealanders and the prize includes an authentic Black Caps one-day uniform. The winners warm up with the players, join the captain for the toss, have lunch with the team and take part in an autograph and photo session.

Consolation prizes include a swag of MILO gear and 100 Ultimate One Day packs. Everyone who enters receives a free player card featuring a member of the New Zealand team.

Courtenay O’Brien, Group Brand Manager MILO, says “MILO encourages kids to lead healthy, active lifestyles and being close to role models who are the top of their chosen sport makes the promotion special.

“Our previous winners have been amazed at the inclusive nature of the Black Caps and it truly is an experience money can’t buy.”

Kiwis can enter the promotion until 31 January 2004 by sending in a barcode from any MILO beverage with the official entry form in stores nationwide.
