MOMIX Masterclass in Auckland
Calling all dancers with a sense of humour and an adventurous spirit. Auckland dancers have a unique opportunity to work alongside performers from acclaimed United States dance theatre group MOMIX.
The MOMIX Dance Theatre Masterclass is offered as part of the company’s season of Opus Cactus at the ASB Theatre, Aotea Centre, THE EDGE® in February.
The masterclass is presented by THE EDGE® in partnership with Columbia Artists Management Inc., DANZ and the Dance Department, Faculty of Creative Arts and Industries, The University of Auckland and takes place on Wednesday 11 February at The University of Auckland. The class is free and is open to dance students at tertiary level or dancers over 15 years with a minimum of three years dance training.
Instructed by one of the MOMIX company members, the masterclass is a combination of warm-up, MOMIX repertory and improvisation. MOMIX performers are part dancers, part athletes and part illusionists.
