Freed from the Friday Funk - Dance Party in Otara
Manukau teens can check out DJ Manchoo at the "Blazin" hip hop and RnB dance party on Friday 5 March.
The Otara Music Arts Centre will be rocking to the style of NZ ITF champion for the last two years, DJ Mancho and the latest hip hop sounds. He has DJ'd for K'Lee, Dawn Raid, Mareko and King Kapisi, and has featured on DJ Sivere's "Major Flavors 2" and "Major Flavours 4".
Manukau City Council's arts programmer, Ruth Thompson, says the aim is to provide youth with an opportunity to have an organised dance on a Friday night in a safe, purpose built venue.
"A highlight of the evening will be performances from bands from Hillary College."
Just $3 entry for 13-18 year olds. Head on down to The Auditorium at OMAC for loud non-stop music. The beats start at 7pm, winding up at 10pm.
Phone OMAC on 274 6400 for details.
