Creative Life - a Creative Legacy
Creative Life is an exhibition that honours the significant creative and productive life of ceramicist and educator Doreen Blumhardt.
Creative Life features representative works from Doreen's half-century career as a ceramicist. Nearing ninety, Doreen has also made a major impact on New Zealand education, with her programmes at Training College for the teaching of craft in schools.
The works of the first four winners of the Dowse's Thomas Foundation Award are also presented: glass artists Claudia Borella and Elizabeth McClure, and jewellers Pauline Bern and Joanna Campbell.
CREATIVE LIFE: 6 FEBRUARY - 23 MAY 2004
Entry is free.
The Dowse is open 10-4 on weekdays and 11-5 weekends and
