Artist's Statement:
"This series of prints was developed from a study of the road surface following a vehicle accident. The road has been stained with spilt fluids, both bodily and mechanical. Skid marks and forensic spray paint mark out the position of the vehicles. Glass and other debris collect in the gutter.
These works do not dwell on the theatrical aspects of the crashes they depict. Instead they are a meditation on the gradual return to normality after a sudden disturbance. They preserve the aftermath silently and invite the viewer to seek out beauty in the overwhelming, sublime power of destructive forces."
