Urban Legends
Urban Legends
Mary-Louise Browne / Eddie Clemens / Joanna Langford / Terry Urbahn / Wayne Youle / Ri Williamson
27 April - 22 May 2004
Alongside Bartley Nees Gallery artists Mary-Louise Browne, Terry Urbahn and Wayne Youle, we are delighted to present the work of three talented young artists: Eddie Clemens, Joanna Langford and Ri Williamson. The Urban Legends exhibition has been curated by our former employee, Sarah Farrar. Sarah has put together an exhibition offering six exciting and refreshing takes on the theme of urban legends - strange stories which circulate, based on either fact or fiction. The artworks range from being scary, gross, freaky, to downright weird and strangely beautiful. The exhibition provides a snapshot of contemporary New Zealand art and we encourage you to check it out!
