Kelvin Hayes first two poetry books - A Lyrical Oasis and Notate are re-issued this June as standard and for the first time as e-books.
Originally released in 1997 and 2000 respectively they are both unique bodies of work. Lyrical features poems on love (in and out of), politics, seasons, travel, memory and sense of place. The book never got the attention it deserved as a near flawless sequential flow of 35 poems.
Notate still stands as one of the finest books of enigmatic poems which has close affiliations with much of the English art school musicians Brian Eno, Robert Fripp, This Mortal Coil and even a hint of David Sylvian. The book has more of a travel theme and a particular French flavour as it was part written there.
Both are available through equivocal
