University students came to Cardrona Alpine Resort in force today for the Otago University Throwdown.

Over 20 students from the university took on the Heavy Metal Terrain Trail and a mix of rail slides and tabletops.

Mike Nelligan from Massachusetts, USA took out first place in the ski while Dunedin rider Robert Matthews came first in the snowboarding.
