Weta Day at Karori Wildlife Sanctuary

On Sunday 8 August the Karori Wildlife Sanctuary are holding Weta Day where people can come along to learn more about these unique insects that have been around since the dinosaur days!
Dr George Gibbs - a weta expert - is going to be at the Sanctuary and there will be informative talks and up close encounters (if you dare!) with real weta between 11am and 2pm, including the world's HEAVIEST insect, the giant weta!
Don't miss Weta Day ... 10am to 5pm Sunday 8 August ... Entry fees: $7 adult, $3 child, $17 family (2 adults, 3 children), no charge for Sanctuary members or pre-schoolers. Entrance is at the end of Waiapu Road.
