Come party with Goldenhorse at the Coromandel’s Pohutukawa Party! The Pohutukawa Festival the Coromandel’s official launch into summer, is set to showcase over 50 events. Taking place between 25 November and 12 December the Festival has literally something for everyone in all major towns around the Coromandel.

The highlight of the Festival will be the Pohutukawa Party, a food, wine festival with Goldenhorse as the lead act on the day. Lots of local talent will also feature on the day.

Tantalize the tastebuds with local flavours including Coromandel’s renowned seafood washed down with a mix of top New Zealand wines. Also present will be award winning cheese makers Matatoki Cheese, the Coffee Lala - Coromandel's own brand of coffee, local growers of Macadamia nuts, olives and ostrich meat.

For those with a sweet tooth - local confectioner, Marika Van der Lee from The Chocolate Shoppe, will have a range of Pohutukawa chocolates especially produced for the event. Organic blueberry growers Adrian and Michael Muir will be onsite with blueberry waffles complimented with Waitete Ice Cream - all locally grown and produced. Food demonstrations, an opportunity to make your own bone carving and, arts and crafts will all feature during the days events.
