Writers Guild Announces New Executive Director
The New Zealand Writers Guild today announced the appointment of Penny Ehrhardt as its new Executive Director. Guild President Frances Edmond is delighted to welcome Ehrhardt to the organisation. ‘Penny has extensive experience in planning, advocacy and research, as well as developing and researching TV documentaries and series. Her familiarity with the industry and strategic vision will move the Guild forward.’
‘I am passionate about creating an environment in which New Zealand’s screen, stage and radio writers thrive and produce exciting, innovative work,’ Ehrhardt said, ‘I’ve been a Guild member for a number of years and seen the organisation go from strength to strength. It is an essential part of the New Zealand film industry.’
Ehrhardt replaces outgoing Executive Director Dominic Sheehan.
