Top speakers for NZ Organic Festival Weekend in Oamaru in March
Leading organic experts will be guest speakers at the New Zealand Organic Festival weekend in Oamaru on March 19-20.
Don Pearson of Lincoln University will talk about the history or organics and about organic vegetable production at the foremost organic research unit in NZ, at Lincoln, where he is co-manager. Blue Forsyth will discuss organic eco building. Organic eco-building is using appropriate materials and waste materials in renovative building. Forsyth, from Timaru, tutors at Christchurch Polytechnic on earth and straw building.
Other speakers will look at different aspects of organic benefits to New Zealand.
The festival is run by Oamaru’s Natural Heritage Society and will include site visits on March 19 and an organic market on March 20.
