Shapeshifter have just completed their 4th national sell-out tour of New Zealand.
Shapeshifter’s album Riddim Wise LP has reached Gold sales status.
Shapeshifter have released their latest single Long White Cloud featuring the vocals of Joe Dukie (Fat Freddy’s Drop).
Shapeshifter are nominated for “Best Live Act” at the 2005 bNet New Zealand Music Awards.
Shapeshifter have been building their reputation as one of New Zealand’s favourite live acts. Over the last month, the band have been sending fans into a frenzy throughout the country with their unique high energy, live drum and bass sound.
This live sound, accompanied by soulful vocals from top New Zealand artists such as PDigsss, Ladi6 and Joe Dukie have allowed Shapeshifter to transcend audiences and promote drum and bass to a wider variety of listeners.
Their album Riddim Wise is proof of this, as it has just achieved gold sales status (7,500 units) in New Zealand. Shapeshifter is only the second drum and bass act in the world to reach gold sales status.
Shapeshifter’s latest single Long, White Cloud features the vocals of Joe Dukie (Fat Freddy’s Drop) has just been released. The stunning video is directed by Ash Bolland of Umeric Design, Australia.
Following this success Shapeshifter will be touring Europe later this year.
