LIFEFORM presents
MIND LIKE WATER A Multi - Media Performance
ANNA BIBBY GALLERY 2 Morgan St, Newmarket Friday 3rd & Saturday 4th June 8 pm $15 at the door
Lifeform adapts Japanese butoh dance in a variety of contexts. They performed Search Engine at the first Auckland Dance Festival in 2001 and Ghost in the Machine for the festival the following year. In 2004 the company presented the premiere of David Eggleton's indigenous mythological danceplay: Animalia: the shapeshifters at the Maidment Studio Theatre. Mind Like Water is supported by Creative NZ. It explores the parallels between water and the subconscious processes generating movement, inspiration and memory.
"One of the joys of watching this form of mime/dance is the freedom that is given to the viewer to create their individual imaginative journey"
