British Rugby Fans Meet
All Black Legend and Experience Grassroots Rugby
Hospitality
220 British rugby fans got the opportunity to meet All Black legend Colin Meads and experience small town Kiwi hospitality when they visited Waitete Rugby Club in Te Kuiti in the King Country. Waitete is the one and only rugby club that Pine Tree has ever played for.
Highlights of the visit that included a hangi, dog trial and sheep shearing demonstrations will feature on Grassroots Rugby on Sky Sport1 at 5.30pm Wednesday June 22nd and on TV3 on Sunday at 2.00pm.
Producer Marie Veitch says the visiting fans got a real thrill from meeting Colin Meads and his brother Stan and experiencing a taste of rural New Zealand.
