New Zealand Snowboard Camps At Cardrona
New Zealand Snowboard Camps At Cardrona
New Zealand’s original snowboard camps kick into action on 25 July at Cardrona Alpine Resort for eight weeks of pipe and park action. Snowboarders of all abilities looking to sharpen their skills will enjoy the benefit of five hours coaching a day, including time in their own private half pipe.
“We’ve been running these camps since 1997 and they’re hugely successful,” said head coach, Jon Malcolm-Smith. “They give a great grounding in the half pipe and terrain park. If you’ve ever wanted to have a go but don’t know what to do, these are the camps for you. They’re also a good way to raise your skill base if you’re keen to get into competition.”
Campers receive a minimum of three hours half pipe riding in the reserved pipe with coaches taking video for analysis later in the day. The remainder of the daily coaching time is used to ride the park or work on other skills, depending on the group’s goals. Each NZSC camp runs for four days with campers grouped with other riders of a similar ability, whether novices or experts and costs $420 per person. For more information, visit www.cardrona.com.
