The line-up for this year's SPARK has been announced. Not just a conference, not just a festival, SPARK 05 offers non-stop presentations, exhibitions, talks, discussions, and entertainment from the cultural cutting edge, morning, noon and night - five days running.

SPARK 05 will be featuring presentations by leading national and international practitioners from across the creative sector including:

On Saturday 27 August ­ Creative Research & Collaboration ­ a special one-day forum, will focus on collaborative practices and creative practice as research in the arts and creative industries sector.

The forum will feature two key note presentations by:

* Professor Paul Carter, author of Material Thinking and Professorial Research Fellow at the Faculty of of Architecture Building & Planning, University of Melbourne

The forum will conclude with two panel discussions chaired by:

* Tim Walker, Director, Dowse Museum, Wellington

Creative Research & Collaboration is being organised in partnership with Creative New Zealand and will be useful to all artists, academics, and practitioners in the creative sector, as well as to critics, writers and other people working across the creative sector.

Spark 05 is organised by Wintec¹s Creative Industries Research Centre and is presented at the School of Media Arts, Wintec, Hamilton, New Zealand with generous support from our partners Creative New Zealand and the Department of Screen & Media, University of Waikato.
