New Date For 2005 Maori Sports Awards
Te Tohu Taakaro o Aotearoa announces new date for 2005 Maori Sports Awards, Saturday 17 December at the TelstraClear Pacific Events Centre, Manukau City.
The date has been changed at the request of Kiwi golfing hero Michael Campbell to insure his attendance at this prestigious Maori sporting occasion.
Executive director Richard (Dick) Garratt says the opportunity to acknowledge the achievements of Michael Campbell - USA Open champion - at this year's ceremony is a "huge opportunity" for Maori to acknowledge Michael Campbell of Ngati Ruanui
Nomination forms can be downloaded from the website www.maorisportsawards.co.nz while table and ticket sales are available from the awards office on 09 278 6591.
