From Spy Thrillers To A Children’s Book With A Difference.

Currently being released on the New Zealand market is a children’s book by Colin Clarke, a New Zealand author with four spy/thriller novels published in the UK in the 1990’s.

‘Freddie the Famous Farter’ is a children’s book with a difference. As the name suggests ‘Freddie the Famous Farter’ tells the story of a boy who, from birth, has the common affliction of passing wind far too often. At a loss with what do with himself he is invited to join an animal orchestra, one of many participating in the world animal orchestra’s championship, to provide the bass sound they lack.

The sound ‘Freddie’ provides is so dramatic that it literally blows the animals away. So impressed are the animals that Freddie and his orchestra win first prize in the competition. The moral of the story is that if one has an affliction, it might well be used to advantage under the right circumstances.

The book is beautifully illustrated and is currently being considered by publishers in China, Taiwan and Japan.
