Manukau City will host the 2005 Villa Maria Cult-Couture Fashion Awards at the TestraClear Pacific Events Centre on Friday October 7th.
Manukau City Council invite residents from throughout the Auckland region to a veritable feast of creative couture in the magnificent surroundings of the new state of-the-art events centre, now home for this premier cultural fashion event.
Fifteen models will showcase 70
garments combining art, fashion and culture -
from the
classic to the surreal to the outrageous, from environmental
materials to fine silks, from time held tradition to
‘Tomorrow’s Manukau’ – experience fashion galore!
Be entertained by Adeaze, Dziah, Touch Compass Dance Company and Urban Beat.
The lineup of judges include: Linda Le Pou - Current Supreme award winner, Style Pasifika, Couture designer(own label); Brett Graham - renowned International Artist/Sculptor/Lecturer; Niva Retimanu – award winning radio news presenter; Donald Hollingsworth - Stylist, Hair and Makeup artist; and Greg Semu - International artists/fashion photographer.
