Munich Comes to Manukau - Oktoberfest
Press Release
Munich Comes to Manukau
A taste of Bavaria is coming to Manukau later this month with the Rotary Club of Manukau Sunrise Inc’s Oktoberfest at the Telstra Clear Pacific Events Centre.
Beers connoisseurs can put in their diary Saturday, October 29 for a good time – and a good cause. This successful annual event raises money for the service club’s projects in the community.
Last year the club donated the thousands raised at the event to the Cancer Society.
Kidz First at Middlemore Hospital will be among the organisations to benefit this year.
While a range of speciality beers from around the world on sale will be the draw card, patrons can also enjoy a selection of wine and food to the accompaniment of music from Win Heuser’s German Oom Pah Band.
The doors open at the centre’s Genesis Theatre at 5.30pm. Entry cost is $20 which will also get you a glass stein to keep as a souvenir. Tickets are available from the club’s Vice-President Kirsten Hawke on 09 2734963 or Kirsten@bkastill.co.nz
