Sponsor for second summer racing series named
Motorsport enthusiasts will enjoy greater TV coverage of local events this summer with the announcement of a new sponsorship for the Tier Two summer circuit racing series.
First Windows & Doors, a specialist aluminium company supplying dealers throughout New Zealand, have taken the naming rights to the series and the Category II development NZV8s running at the series. Other classes include the popular Super Truck Racing, Bridgestone Porsche, Pro-7, Pre-65s, HQ Holdens, Super GT and Formula First. The new Nichibo Production Racing Championship will also run at two events.
Announcing the new sponsorship, Kerry Cooper, CEO of the MotorSport Company said that the sponsorship secures TV coverage for the development category of NZV8s as well as several other classes.
Coverage will be screened on Sky Sport One and Two over the five rounds of the series where the First Windows & Doors NZ V8s are racing.
“The First Window and Doors Series will deliver very popular racing entertainment both for spectators at the circuits and for viewers at home.
“The sponsorship is a win-win for First Windows & Doors and for the Sport. It provides the sponsor with a wonderful opportunity to target a nationwide audience with a very exciting programme of motorsport.
“Without this sponsorship we would not have been able to get these events to air.”
The opening round of the First Windows & Doors Series is at Taupo this weekend (22-23 Oct) followed by Pukekohe (3-4 Dec), Ruapuna (28-29 Jan), Levels, Timaru ( 4-5 Mar) and Manfeild (25-26 Mar).
