Wgtn songstress Hollie Smith steps into limelight

Wellington songstress Hollie Smith steps into the limelight

Hollie Smith is the name on everyone's lips right now. Gaining her reputation on the strength of stand-out collaborations and performances with the likes of Fly My Pretties, Trinity Roots, Fat Freddy's Drop, The Illphonics and Recloose, she has turned heads with her deep, rich & soulful singing & songwriting style which has drawn widespread praise from all who have had the pleasure of hearing her perform.

Hollie has now focused her talents on her new live band featuring some of New Zealands finest including Darren Mathiassen, Crete Haami and Jeremy Toy with the backing vocal talents of Lisa Tomlins, P Digsss, Rio Hemopo and Dallas.

This will be the debut performance for the band, playing new originals and tracks from her stunning E.P that was released earlier this year.

Hollie creates an intriguing mix of sensual, melodic & earthy soul grooves filled with depth, passion & power. Anyone who was fortunate enough to witness her perform at Fly My Pretties recently will know exactly what we're talking about. Hollie has that rare talent of being able to connect with her audience and deliver truly breathtaking and spine tingling performances.

Opening the night will be Dallas who has put together a band of special surprise guests specifically to celebrate this show that is definately one not to be missed.
