Dream Materialises Into $333,333 Whangaparaoa Lotto First Division Win
An Auckland man has claimed a
$333,333 Lotto Division One prize, after a dream led him to
choose his own lucky numbers 20 years ago, says NZ Lotteries
Chief Executive Trevor Hall.
The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, says he has been selecting the same numbers every week, after having a vivid dream when he saw the first line of a winning Lotto ticket.
"I've always had those numbers as my first line and then selected other similar combinations of them for the rest of the ticket."
The lucky winner bought his ticket at Braggers Lotto in Whangaparaoa.
The winner says he is overjoyed about the windfall and that it has come at the perfect time.
"I'm going to pay off the mortgage, and be debt free! It's going to change my lifestyle."
Whangaparaoa lottery outlets have been on a roll recently, with Patricia Blake, who won $100,000 on Winning Wheel on Saturday night, buying her ticket at Hibiscus Stationery and Lotto, and claiming her chance to spin the Wheel at Braggers Lotto.
One share of the Lotto First Division prize is yet to be claimed. The prize, also worth $333,333 was sold by North City Plaza in Porirua, Wellington.
