Whitianga Player Strikes It Rich
A lucky Lotto player who bought their ticket at Take Note Whitianga has won $907,898 in Strike Four, says NZ Lotteries Chief Executive Trevor Hall.
The Strike Four win caps off a great night for Lotto players with players in Otorohanga, Cambridge, Gisborne, Lower Hutt and Three Kings, Auckland winning Lotto First Division, worth $200,000 each
"2006 has begun perfectly for Lotto players in the North Island, with wins from one end of the Island to the other," says Mr Hall.
"Players who bought their tickets in the following stores should get them checked; Kings Paper Plus and Toyworld in Otorohanga, Waynes Lucky Lotto in Cambridge, Grant Bros in Gisborne, Red Planet Queensgate Lotto in Lower Hutt and Foodtown Three Kings in Auckland, as the First Division Lotto prizes are just waiting to be claimed," says Mr Hall.
A further North Island winner was Alida Bennett from Wellington, who celebrated Wellington Anniversary weekend in style winning a VW Golf on Lotto's Winning Wheel.
This week's Winning Wheel ticket was sold at Countdown Lynfield in Auckland. The serial number is 145-60800542-20XX
Powerball has jackpotted and will be worth an estimated $3 million at next week's draw.
