Wattie’s Volunteer Coach
of the Year
Nominations Open July 5
This year’s hunt will soon begin for New Zealand’s star volunteer coach as the annual Wattie’s Volunteer Coach of the Year nominations open on July 5.
The awards recognise and thank the many volunteer coaches throughout New Zealand who volunteer their time and effort to coaching athletes and sports teams at a non-representative level up and down the country, and are sponsored by Sport and Recreation New Zealand (SPARC) and Wattie’s.
There will be 17 regional volunteer coach winners, two runners up and an overall winner who will receive $5,000 to support his or her coaching development. Nominators go in the draw to win one of two $1,000 cash prizes or one of two prizes of $500 sporting gear for their club or school.
Tell us your email and we’ll tell you when nominations open, visit www.watties.co.nz to register.
