Richard Boyd-Dunlop: Wild Times
The Courtyard Gallery is proud to present Richard Boyd Dunlop born in Auckland in 1973, Richard began painting in his mid teens. After several years of travelling and painting in Australia, Europe, Nuie, Tonga, Rarotonga and Hawaii Richard has developed a style and technique resulting from this nomadic lifestyle.
Painting is the medium within which Richard expresses world issues close to his heart. His recent work depicts the enviromental struggle between nature and man and lack of balance."Coming from a small ecosystem you find yourself believing you can and will change the world even in the smallest degree it is important"
"In my paintings things are not always as they seem, characters dance around engaging you to seek out messages - or indeed your own as no one person sees the same thing"
The exhibition runs from the 20 June - 3rd July with a preview 20th June 5.30 all are welcome to attend.
