Wellington’s Piano Round Elimination Results

In tonight’s nail biting live NZ IDOL results show and Wildcard special on TV2, contestants Matt Saunoa (21 years from Levin), Aroha Robinson (18 years from Mt Maunganui) and Becks Wright (21 years from Auckland) were voted into the NZ IDOL Top 10.

The three successful finalists were part of a group of six who last night performed on stage at the St James Theatre in Wellington in front of a 700 strong audience. They were voted into the Top 10 by the New Zealand public.

Leaving the competition this week is Emilie Harwood (16 years from Auckland) and Cameron Clayton (20 years from Christchurch).

Lucky contestant Ben Hazelwood was named as the Wellington Wildcard contender.

As part of the Wildcard special, local boy, Lenken Issac (25 years) from the first regional show in Christchurch and Auckland’s regional contender Wiremu Hohaia (23 years from Auckland) also performed in Wellington, giving them a second shot at being part of the NZ IDOL Top 10.

Voting lines are open until midnight tonight to determine the final person to complete the Top 10 line-up for NZ IDOL 2006.

Don’t miss the next NZ Idol to hear who has been named as the Wildcard winner and to see the first performance from your 2006 Top 10 on Sunday at 7.30pm on TV2.
