Tell a toon tale: create your own comic strip
Both Avondale and Blockhouse Bay Community Libraries are running fun competitions in September where kids and teens can use their creativity to create their very own comic strip.
Kindly sponsored by the Avondale Community Board, the winners of each age category at each library will receive great prizes such as book vouchers and other goodies.
To enter, pick up an entry form from either Avondale or Blockhouse Bay Community Libraries.

Competition dates: Starts Monday, 11 September –
Saturday, 7 October
If you are 5 – 7 years old, write
your story in 100 words or under with illustrations
If
you are 8 – 13 years old, tell your story in 21
illustrated frames
Blockhouse Bay Community Library, 578

Competition dates:
Starts Saturday, 16 September – Saturday, 14 October
If you are 5 – 7 years old, write your story in 250
words or under with illustrations
If you are 8 – 10
years old, tell your story in 21 illustrated frames

you are 11 – 13 years old, tell your story in 21
illustrated frames
