Problem Gambling - We Gotta Stop!

Lil Tyrone in conjunction with Problem Gambling Foundation release: “We Gotta Stop”, to raise awareness among New Zealand youth about the effects of Gambling in their communities.

September 1st is the 2nd annual New Zealand Gamble free Day, and James Whetu PKA Lil Tyrone has recorded a song “We Gotta Stop” to be released on the same day to create awareness about the effects of Gambling on the youth of New Zealand.

James Whetu is 16 years old and schooled at the Xseed Foundation. James was chosen to release his debut single by the problem gambling foundation after hearing James perform the song about his own experiences with problem gambling in his family.

Problem Gambling Foundation have recognized the importance of providing a platform for the youth to address gambling issues in there family, and felt that releasing a song aimed directly at their demographic was the best way to educate the youth about the risks of gambling and helping to build resilience to deal with gambling harms.

Dawn Raid Entertainment has strong links in the local community and was approached to help facilitate the recording of the song, and also enlisted the help of Hip Hop producer MAREKO and DMC Champ DJ CXL to produce the track.
