Winter Fashion the Sleeping Beauty Style
AUCKLAND, September 27, 2006 - While the fashion industry had its first glimpse of Winter 2007 style at Air NZ Fashion Week last week, theatre-goers can glimpse timeless Winter fashion by New Zealand designer Kristian Fredrikson in The Australian Ballet's upcoming season of The Sleeping Beauty at The Civic, THE EDGE October 18-22.
Pictured is the Queen of Winter, Carabosse, played by Danielle Rowe, in the stunning production that will have just six performances in Auckland. Fredrikson created over 300 costumes and sets for the lavish production - The Australian Ballet's largest ever commission - that features the full company of 68 dancers plus the 62-piece Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra. Over 100 local young ballerinas will be auditioning for 10 child roles.
Tickets priced from $49 to $110 on sale now from Ticketek Ph 09 307 5000, www.ticketek.co.nz.
