NZ's Greatest Guitar Riffs - Frontseat this Sunday

This week Oliver is at Rannoch House, home of the James Wallace Arts Trust. The 15 year old Wallace Art Awards exhibition is on the road to Pataka Museum in Porirua after its Auckland appearance, and Oliver talks to James Wallace about patronage, prizes and paintings.

THE HOT NEW ART INVESTMENT:
Oliver Driver talks to a curator (Justin Paton, Dunedin Public Art Gallery), a dealer (John McCormick, Starkwhite), and a collector (Howard Grieve) about the hot new buyer’s tip in the visual art world. It’s small, it’s inexpensive, and best of all – the canvas will only improve as technology does.

This week: Actor Joel Tobeck happens to be a pretty talented guitarist. Inspired by his heroes, he sets out to name the Three Greatest Guitar Riffs in New Zealand Rock’n’Roll. It’s a big call, but he’s prepared to make it, and is rewarded with some private concerts by local rock superstars.
